The story goes like this: a bunch of kids are jammin’ in my kitchen on Sunday. I record 40 minutes of the session in Garage Band using my MacBook’s built in microphone. At some point in the jam, I hammer out the very simple series of notes that makes up Usher’s “Yeah!” on a Casio keyboard. The real musicians in the room–Carl (clarinet), Joel (tenor sax), and Dave (alto sax)–take over from there and lay down an insane take on the song. I’ll probably drop the recording itself in a few days, but for now here’s a remix I made of “Yeah!” using samples from Sunday’s session. Enter other dimensions to this one.
