The Sheepdogs: The Closest You’ll Get to Classic Rock in 2010

On first listen, the Sheepdogs scream The Beatles.  The 70s guitar riffs/harmonica/drum combo that consistently appears on all their tracks feels aged, but in a refreshing way.  Most fans of classic rock often go on and on how music nowadays will never sound like it used to, but the Sheepdogs are a 2010 rock band that isn’t trying to be eclectic enough for Pitchfork’s approval, nor do they scream their lungs off for attention.  All around solid and fun, with smooth vocals and catchy choruses.  Definitely the kind of band that can rekindle your love for classic rock…

They don’t have a ton of major press or reviews online, but their album Learn & Burn is definitely a keeper.

Oh and did i mention they’re from CANADA?

Peep it…
