West Coast Classic

Kam doesn’t get mentioned much these days. His first two lps, Neva Again and Made in America are dope emblems of the West Coast sound, artifacts from the days when Dre’s thick G-Funk ruled the airwaves (Made in America actually comes at the tale end of this dominance, released in 1995). “Keep the Peace” represents the best qualities of the west: a smooth, bumping beat and politically charged lyrics.

And don’t forget: the West Coast kept it FUNKY. Another one from Kam’s Made in America after the break.
