Czech Film Posters

At the suggestion of friend and film aficionado Brandon Colvin (check out his breakdown of the Telluride Film Festival, which we both attended, here), I did a little research and found some pretty cool Czech film posters for films from a variety of countries. Enjoy!

  1. These are all fantastic! For a while, Film Comment had a great column on film posters than ran every issue. I guess they excised it when they tried to shape up and make some cash. It would be awesome if you did a series in which you took one film and compared different posters for it and explained the thematic relationships, etc. I would read the shit out of that.

Great posters! I like the artistic styling of the Czechs!

Though I like to see the alternatives of Fitzcarradlo posters I think the photography is more powerful while that Czech rendition would be more suited for a novel cover/dust jacket.
